How "snappy" did the system feel? Thanks.
The Gateway version will be dual core, so far all I've seen is that this comes with a Core 2 Solo SU3500.

The plot thickens. Liliputing has a posting pointing to a review of the "Packard Bell 1810TZ" which is the touchscreen version. Portable Gear.nl has some nice pics although I don't see much info on specs. There is also a nice video of the tablet in use. Enjoy.

    Wow!. Nice find!!!
Now we have some critical information.
"Like the 1810TZ, the Packard Bell Butterfly Touch has an 11.6 inch, 1366 x 768 pixel display and runs Windows 7 Home Premium. It reprotedly has an 8 hour battery and should be available for 599 Euros on October 22nd."
Easy to see the HDMI connector, and that the battery sits within the body.

Use Google Translate Dutch to English, if necessary.

Humm.. not sure. But the Butterfly's frame looks a little different from the photos of the Acer Aspire 1810P and the Gateway EC18T tablets.

If its only $100 more, I will buy one.
Still undecided over the Gateway or the Acer 1820p, but I want one either way.

Acer has listed the 1820pt on their us-site and added a 1820ptz - without any hard facts on the processor used

It seems there will be a single-core (t) and a duel-core (tz) version just like in case of the 1810t(z)

    1820PTZ has an SU4100
    1820PT has an SU7300.

Wow Acer is still packing in the bloatware, all the same crap that came on my 3810t is still there with Windows 7. Nice to see it uses DDR3 like the Gateway Ec18t. So only the non tablet models don't use DDR3 ram.

Is there a perma link? How are you guys getting there? The links above just take me to generic Product pages. Sometimes when you just paste a page you have visited it doesn't work. How did you originally get there?
