So I think I just found the solution to turning the DDR2-667 into DDR2-800 manually using the editor instead of cloning a completely different module's SPD. The new new version of Thaiphoon Burner allows editing those extra previously inaccessible timing values. New version is also made for both 64-bit & 32-bit now Acer Aspire 1410 and 1810 Timeline 11.6" Thread

While my 1810T was opened up, I noticed what looked like an extra mini-PCIe slot w/out the socket to insert a card into:

I placed my third wifi antenna in that spot. If we solder a mini-PCIe socket onto that extra slot, will it be fully functional?

And what about battery drain? Is it worse?

I haven't noticed any decrease in battery life. I'm still getting around 7 hours doing some web-surfing, word-processing and other work with a fully charged battery.

i wonder about that position of the third antenna - is it safe? i mean for males.
As far as I know wi-fi antennas are usually placed in display frame which is away from the lap.

Just a short information. If you solder only the Mini-PCI connector this will not help, you also need to add the SIM card holder. It is located under the keyboard.

And there are still some questions regarding firmware supporting it, USB lines and power. I think it is a lot easier to just buy a simple and small UMTS USB Stick. In the end you could also try to get this inside the unit at the location where the mini pci card should be. But the effort is not worth it from my opinion. Also the mod with a real mini pci card is quite expensive, only the card is already more expensive than any USB stick you can get.

Hey, for a measly 186 bucks you can increase your battery life by a whopping 10 minutes (or something like that - if at all)

I've seen 1x4GB for $100-$200 and I'm being generous about the $200. Of course I believe it was DDR2-667 but I'm pretty sure someone posted a link to one one of these Aspire 1410 threads.

screenshots of the discharge rate with the stock Samsung module are here Acer Aspire 1410 and 1810 Timeline 11.6" Thread it seems the kingston module consume less power than the Samsung module
