Do you know where to put the internal module? Acer handbook is very superficial and I cannot find any description or picture in the net either.

Btw I do not want to use external Bluetooth module...
i have found the same one here on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.ca/Bluetooth-2-0-Mod...4.c0.m14.l1262

and I'm planning to test it once my 1410 ships next week. Price is only ~20$ with free shipping.

For those who are searching for a nice fitting sleeve for the 1810T/1410:
It seems, that the most sleeves for netbooks up to 10,2" fit.
I've tested the following three different sleeves:
    Belkin F8N140 10,2"
    Dismaq qSleeve 12"
Hama Notebook-Cover "Comfort" 8,9"-10,2" (which i have in use now, because it has an extra pocket)
All fit perfectly without any force.

With this program the double core must help a lot, IMO. The CS4 (as other retouch programs) are optimized to use as many cores you have. In fact, I did some test in my PC changing the afinity of this process (selecting to use 1 core or 2 cores for this program), and I've found an increase in performance aprox. 50% (not the double but quite faster). Even considering the SU4100 have less speed and less cache I expect to have an increase in performance of at least the 30% for double core optimized programs (my rought estimation).

With the CS4 will help a lot too installing the 64bit version of this program in a 64bit Operating system. I have the CS4 64 bit running in W7 64bit in my PC (4 cores) and is much more quick than the verions of 32 bits.

I am using Capture NX (for Nikon). This program is much more power consuming than CS4. Have anybody checked it in a 1810T SU3500 or SU4100 ?

I'm waiting for a 1810T SU4100. I will buy it asap are available in Spain

If you are still looking for a netbook sleeve, try this one:

    http://cgi.ebay.com/Netbook-Sleeve-B...d=p3286.c0.m14

I have it and it works fine and has an extra pocket. I said fine because this is my first netbook and netbook case; I have a Gateway P-7805U.

Later I will upgrade to 2x2GB but am not sure if I should wait for the release of Win7 or not. Is it worth it to upgrade now? These are the ones I was thinking of getting:

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820227251

I do notice that it does get really hot in the bottom center and bottom right. Does anyone know how to reduce the heat or is this normal.

Fan noise for me is not noticeable, even on a quiet night. That or I have bad hearing. If I pay attention to the fan I can hear it, but its not an annoying sound and I don't notice the scratching effect.

I use the iHome IHM77 portable pod speakers with USB rechargeable battery built in. They work great and I used it for other applications like on my iphone.

The "N" button was jammed or stuck at one point until I pressed hard on it and heard a snap and it worked fine again. I don't know what the cause of this was?

I removed all but the serial number sticker from the netbook, even the Windows serial number sticker. It was starting to peel off already so I just decided to take it completely off and store with with my other Vista CD.

I been using the netbook everyday. Some days I would leave it on all day or leave it on sleep. I don't know if it is consider rough handling but I do move it around often while its on, using one hand or even holding it by the screen. Everything seems find still. Just testing the quality I guess.

Sometimes when I am using Yahoo Messenger while doing voice and video chat, Yahoo crashes.

Haven't ran any test or benchmark since everyone else is doing it. I just use it and abuse it. Plus I have a desktop for that and I'm done with benchmark unless I build another tower. Don't get me wrong, I do want it to perform right and the best it can. From what I've seen read on here it seems to be performing fine. Its a netbook and I'm not going to expect it to preform like my desktop. However one day I know we will get to that stage where a lot of power can be packed into a small unit like a netbook and cost just as low. Of course by then we well have more powerful desktop components too.

Oh, and the film over the webcam was annoying until someone mentioned it on here.

Also while the lid is open around 90 degree and above, the corner right of the keypad does not sit flush with the surface. So it will wobble if you push down at the right corner of the keypad. Not sure if anyone else has this problem or how it could be fix. Seems like the chaise is semi tweak.?

    Thanks

quick question, this might sound like a dumb question, but is there any difference between the AS1410-8807 and the AS1410-8837?

    Thanks

Actually, your numbers don't match up with the US offerings so I could be wrong.

    The US offerings are:

    AS1410-8413 = Blue
    AS1410-8804 = Black
    AS1410-8914 = Red

Everything else about them is the same.

Here is a link to Acer's US AS1410 configuration page.

    Canadian offerings they are:
AS1410-8807 = Black (might be specific to BestBuy in Canada)
    AS1410-8837 = Black

    Both have 3GB/250HD
Just Google those 2 model numbers to compare the specs in detail.

The BT pins number is 5 on 1410, the one in your link is 4.

I installed this one and it works ok - http://cgi.ebay.com/Acer-4520-5920-N...d=p3286.c0.m14

I did not put the BT module into the existing BT compartment, though. The one I bought is too large to fit in. Function wise, it works fine. BT switch work with it.
