This might be a nice solution to add bluetooth to the 1410 if it gets released and has proper Win7 drivers.
Too expensive, I suppose. Just get the DELL bluetooth module off eBay or a micro USB dongle. Also I don't know if that Signal Up stuff works with different Wifi cards.

    Edit:
Sorry for posting twice, I forgot to edit the other post

Probably too expensive, yes, but if not, and if it works, would be an easy upgrade to get bluetooth internally without voiding the warranty by disassembly. I have a mini Bluetooth USB dongle, got it really cheap, but I don't use it because it doesn't fit in my case with it in and I get tired of plugging/unplugging it all the time. So I've just been using my mini USB mouse instead of Bluetooth.

If it goes for $20-30, I could see them selling well. $50+, forget it.

It's because of the CPU, isn't it? I found a review on the 3810TZ's cousin, the Travelmate 8371 and it comes with DDR3 memory standard but what appears to be a Core 2 Duo ULV (SU9400) proc instead of the Pentium-D (SU4100) in the 1810TZ. If that's the case, this would explain the restrict on the speed of the memory allowed despite what the chipset is capable of.

Anyone else noticed their Battery Bar battery wear indicator jump a lot recently? I've only had this for two weeks, did a full discharge only once to test maximum capacity, the rest of the time I charged when it got low, and now it's showing 3.4% battery wear. Is it better to let it only run down to 10-20% full before recharging? A couple other sites indicated that charging while it's completely powered off is also bad for the wear level.

Any thoughts or additional resources? Thanks.

EDIT: I did find this: Notebook Battery Guide I'll probably follow those tips unless anyone has other suggestions/corrections. Thanks.

The larger models(13.3"+) have DDR3. It has nothing todo with CPU. The 1810tz has DDR2. Just check that Chinese review.

    @leedr
I usually don't let it get lower than 10% before recharging. Charging while powered off is no problem. I've noticed that 1810t charges relatively slowly, thus the batteries don't get hot. That's basically a good thing. Don't worry too much about wear level. A recalibration might give some capacity back in a few months.

Thanks for setting the record straight for me. I didn't read the Chinese review since I couldn't translate it. I'll try Yahoo Babelfish next.

I have a question concerning the battery-charging on the 1810T.

When i will use the netbook every 1-2 days, is it better, to recharge the battery up to 100% with AC connected and let the battrery in the notebook?
Or should i disconnect the battery after 100%-charging everytime (every 1-2 days) ?

The reason for this question is:
I read, that the most charge-units disable battery-charging when it reaches 100% and enable charging when the battery is fallen to 95%.

But i cannot imagine, that the battery will fall to 95% in 1-2 days ? !

So it would be no difference if the battery is plugged in or not while AC is connected (IN MY CASE) ? ! ?

So my final question is, if the 1810T is intelligent enough to stop charging at 100% completely and will start charging by 95% !

    What do you think?

If it isn't in standby, it won't discharge.

    I'd say so.

    Sure.

You're best off if you charge early and charge often.

I just got my 1810TZ today, haven't unpacked it yet but I should be able to make a review of it before next week if all goes well.
Now it's time to unbox it!
