Re: The Acer Aspire Timeline 1410 and 1810T 11.6" Thread
I'm hitting 6 hours with ease. Since I'm not using it as my primary laptop, I've gone days without charging it...though, now it's connected to my 1080p LCD as the perfect little HTPC unit, so its on AC fully.

Re: The Acer Aspire Timeline 1410 and 1810T 11.6" Thread
This is what AcerTimelineHunter reported, thus it's in Timeline Tweaks now.
With light usage and low backlight, fan turned off via SmartFan it should be possible to get even more than 8h out of it. It scales extremely well.
Btw, can anyone recommend a good monitoring program for checking momentary power consumption?Last edited by der_mali; 10th September 2009 at 03:14 AM.

Battery Bar is a pretty good one, which I've been using on my primary Asus for quite some time. Haven't put it on the Acer yet.

Re: The Acer Aspire Timeline 1410 and 1810T 11.6" Thread
Interesting thing, the Aspire Timeline 1810T is disappearing from the shops around here. It was only available for like two weeks.
Only to be replaced with the 1810TZ, SU4100 modell with a larger harddrive (320Gigs) as well. Our regional Acer site lists the TZ modell, only! Official markings: AS1810TZ-413G32 N, Part Number LX.PJ30X.015
This might be an indication for things to come in other regions.Last edited by AcerTimelineHunter; 10th September 2009 at 03:26 AM.

Re: The Acer Aspire Timeline 1410 and 1810T 11.6" Thread
That is why I asked to confirm the fan behavior under "passive" mode. The person, who claimed that "passive" mode would help, didn't exlain the effect of this mode in detail. And there was another user that said it wouldn't help at all. That is conflicting. So there no precise information...
