Thanks, Thats why I just mailed asus if they have any experience or reviews about this seller.

Technically spoken does a MXM III (not 3.0) work in a MXM-II slot if there is enough space for the card? or does it have other power needs?

It's a laptop to laptop thing, but in most cases it would. Cooling it is another question

I've tested 2 acers with MXM 2.1 III cards, works pretty well in general if you can deal with the card sticking out of the chassis or whatever.

How did you burn your motherboard trying to replace it with Intel?

A laptop with space only for a mxm 2.1 II card can fit a III card. I have done it. It wasn't easy as making room for the card is a nightmare (in my case having to ground away some metal on the cpu heatplate in my old Asus C90P). Cooling it is the tricky thing as the II and III cards have completely different mounting holes for the heatsink meaning only a self manufactured heatsink would be adequate. In the Acer 5920g such a mod would need very particular attention to the cooling first.

Either way please do this Triturbo. Go where I failed (killed the 4850 by flashed wrong vbios to it haha)

I was thinking about it A LOT of times. Even if I manage to make a supa-dupa custom CPU heatsink (two of the four screws, securing the heatsink, are on the way of the GPU), NO fan is going to fit in the limited space that is left (at least, not one that is going to make difference with its presence) (Internal) MXM-III/HE mod for 5920G is a definite NO-GO

Was it completely dead? I mean have you tried to solder a blank EEPROM over there?

LOL that's the hardest core way of "fixing" it I bet in the end it could fit even in MXM-I machine
