i just installed a travelmate 8371 matte keyboard from ebay ($10+$10 shipping) on my 3810tg

it fits perfectly, the keys are larger and they don't catch fingerprints like the old glossy 3810 one

i've looked around, and found out that the palmrest/top cover from 8371 can also be fitted to the 3810 (possibly the bottom one, too)

and i saw a post about installing the matte screen from the travelmate - it is indeed possible. the two laptops are practically the same, but with a different shell

file2 - version I'm currently using (new fan table, advanced and power menu, access level option, no slic, discrete/integrated in SG, logo, min brightness on intel is 3% instead of 10%): ftp://ad1ced.ru/shared/jm31_128_logo_t3.fd and checksum: ftp://ad1ced.ru/shared/jm31_128_logo_t3.md5

    UPD:
SU9400 users will be able to overclock CPU by approx 13%. Just disable P-States in Power menu and use Throttlestop to set CPU multiplier at x8 as described here: How to Enable Intel Dynamic Acceleration (IDA) on Both Cores of a Core 2 Duo
Could someone tell me please if these modded BIOSs will function on a 5810TG?

Also Acer support downloads has a BIOS patch (v1.35) and a Special edition (v2.35). Is there anything useful in these?

The thread isnt hot anymore but the laptop still pleases me very much. Only thing i dislike is teh 4500mhd, i need something faster.
I am thinking of replacing the mainboard of my 3810T with the 3810TG board so i can use the HD4330 gpu. This GPU will be enough for me but i dont know if it will fit properly.

So is there someone here who likes to open these laptops, and knows if the new board will fit? Or any ideas about it.

Sorry for the bad english, its not my native language.
