the 1gb version i have is ddr2 so it has less bandwidth and speed. GL

Also guys just bought an 8gb ddr3 kit for the price of 1 4gb stick usually costs here.

will tell you if i can get it running.

hello every one. I need a little help...

I have a problem with my laptop ATM. My fan doesn't speed up at all... it's running but always at the minimum speed... So when I try to play, the laptop shutdown after 5 or 10 minutes.

I don't know what can cause the problem, the senser seams to means work because I can see the temp reading in speedfan. the temps goes over 100C.

Is the fan broken or it's something wrong with the motherboard?

Is there a way to have a fan with a manual control?

Hello, anyone can tell me how to modify the heat sink for fiting other graphic card such 9700 or fx3700.
I ve search the previous post and saw that Agony has made the modification.

you can dakis like im saying you need the newer heatsink for that model such as

part number 60.ASZ0N.001 or the 60.AP70N.001(this may be it its for the 9650m)

one of these is the heatsink you need

finding that when playing prototype 1 laptop just shuts down so out of all my games i finding alan wake pc and alan wake american nightmare, prototype 1 and mercenaries 2 shut down. so this week gonna buy a cooler master u3 where you can place the fans anywhere you want and it fits the acer 18.4 inch version perfect

6gb boots fine and increased my speeds.
When i get new gpu that has less vram gonna try 8gb as it may be related.

wow got my arctic silver thermal paste today took laptop apart. put it on and since doing it no games shut down very pleased with it

mine wouldnt even boot to the bios with 8gb but runs great on 6gb and has done for well over a year or more

Mine is the version with the HD+ screen not the Full HD one. If i get a Full HD screen what else do i need to replace it? An inverter?
