Re: Acer Aspire 8930G Owner's Lounge
This problem has happened to me today it seems that when the laptop screen moves the jack casing rubs against that black wire and eventually works the wire loose. I have had mine for 5 months but have decided to send it back to be fixed as I am not that brave to try and fix myself. Has anyone found a solution to this its a definite design fault.

i dont think anyone has found a solution to it, its more just a case of fixing it as it happens, i had to resolder the black wire, ive not had to move the laptop since i did it a wee while ago but its holding for now......no doubt in a while i will have to open it back up and resolder it again

Re: Acer Aspire 8930G Owner's Lounge
Hi, when I did mine a few months ago I pulled the lead to give it some some slack. After several openings and closings, its not come away again, so fingers crossed...

Hi, as you get no post display either I'd suggest the gfx card has failed?

Re: Acer Aspire 8930G Owner's Lounge
Hello everyone. I have an Acer 8930G and I'm wondering, how can I determine the motherboard version?
I mean whether is MB.ASZ0B.001 or MB.ASZ0B.004, in order to upgrade with a Q9000.
