All I changed was the core clock to 625MHz and the shader clock to 1550MHz. I left the memory at 800MHz as that's the maximum. I'm not technically overclocking it, as this is the recommended clock speed. Acer are the ones for underclocking it. I think the reason for them doing so was to prevent the card from overheating, as it does tend to run pretty hot anyway. I've only noticed a 3 degree increase in temperature, however I can now run L4D2 maxed out 1920x1080, with around 25 - 30fps, before it was around 15fps.
i use a program called nvidia inspector its only 453kb, beats the 88mb of the nvidia program
    overclocking works great with it

The stored profiles on the nVidia Ntune don't work. Blast.

Mine has just decided to have a mind of it`s own. I`t would be perfect if Acer eDataSecurity wouldn`t crash every time after i encrypt or decrypt a file.
The encryption/decryption works. But imediatly after i press Ok on the confirmation message the program crashes. Also ePower management never worked. I reinstalled both programs and nothing has changed. Any ideas?

    Tnx!
    Andrei.

Cross-post from Acer 8930G VT enable success in windows!:

I would attempt the thread linked to in the OP but it doesn't make a lick of sense to me, and is hardly in an "instruction" format.

Also, I got linked to a Acer 8930G 1.20 BIOS Slic 2.1 modified BIOS, how would I change the steps in the instructions to use this BIOS instead?
Another thing unrelated to the above content, I ran the PCMark benchmarking test (the free one), and got a stupidly low score of 4000 - is that normal? And also, why is it reporting Core clock at 169 MHz and Memory clock at 100 MHz when they are definitely NOT those numbers?

I see the latest bios for the 8943g is v.1.06. Has anyone installed it to replace v1.03 and were there any problems?

You mean the shortcut it creates? It keeps saying it no longer exists and I get a prompt to delete it.

@Pantry: I had to create a Batch file because the overclock shortcut works by Command line parametres. Because I just ended up keeping nVidiaInspector in my downloads folder, this is what it looks like:

    START /DC:\Users\{Username}\Downloads\nvidiaInspector "Overclock" nvidiaInspector.exe -setGpuClock:0,3,575 -setShaderClock:0,3,1440 -

    setMemoryClock:0,3,920

I just added the .bat using msconfig, but I think Shaken's method might work better.

Still waiting on a reply about the BIOS.
