update BIOS to newest file for your model

then download I8KFAN GUI (search google)

if resolves over heating issues on a lot of acer models.... no need to set the progam up... just run it,,,, that should solve the heat issues!!!

did the new powersupply solve your problems??

does the laptop beep only once when plugging the AC power in? or does it just keep beeping? one beep is normal, it alerts you to the fact that the laptop is CHARGING it's batttery

one thing you may try would be to opperate the laptop with out the battery in,,,,, and see how that goes

    take bottom cover off laptop

that should give you access to the FAN and heatsink pipe...

unscrew fan (if possible) take fan out.. brush fins on heat sink pipe w/ soft brush to clean out dust/lint and clean fan as best as possible

    then reassemble

    try that
