Acer Crystal Eye Webcam problem!! help
Hello, I have had my laptop a few months, Acer TravelMate 7520.
Last week it crashed...so I got a professional to restore everything back to factory settings and then reload all my files back on.
Doing so when I went to try my Webcam it said "Camera not found".
I have downloaded Crystal eye webcam drivers on number of sites..installed them all..but nothing.
My camera worked for 30 seconds earlier but said it was a usb device..
Can someone tell me what I need to do
That would be great.
I guess I will have to uninstall these drivers..not that I can see how

This model has two types of camera: Bison and Suyin.
Try both if you don't know what is your manufacturer

Re: Acer Crystal Eye Webcam problem!! help
Thank you for your response.
I have tried both of these before testing, plus I dont actually know which one to use..
Looked in my manual to find nothing that tells me which one to use.
Also when I did try them both it asked me to restart afterwards and I did..the I go to test camera still says Camera not found.
Did I need to do something else to connect the two together.

Re: Acer Crystal Eye Webcam problem!! help
ok do you know what mega pixel the camera is ?
the low res cam uses the bison bar software
but make sure its not running at start-up as this creates a conflict when you try and use it.
MSconfig/start-up tab and look for bison and uncheck its box.
all the drivers for you laptop on here.....

Re: Acer Crystal Eye Webcam problem!! help
I'm having the same problem with an Acer Aspire that I purchased two days ago.
(It's a 7520.)
The webcam worked fine the first time I used it, and now it's suddenly stopped working, and says "Camera cannot be found".
Because it's Vista I don't know how to maneuver around the computer hardware, so I'm unsure about what to do.
I tried downloading both Bison and Sunyin drivers but both have not helped at all.
Someone said that if you remove all your pictures from the My Pictures folder you will fix the problem, but that hasn't worked either.
Should I take the laptop back to get looked at, or is this an easy fix?
Please help!

Re: Acer Crystal Eye Webcam problem!! help
I have a TM 8204 and the camera couldn't be found or it was already in use. I took the following steps:
1 - uninstall drivers and software
2 - Take off plastic trim around lcd (bezel)
3 - disconnect ccd
4 - reboot
5 - reconnect ccd
voila
