Re: Aspire 5315 CPU Step-by-Step Upgrade Guide
Nope, it's not a problem, the Aspire 5315 support 800Mhz FSB to the CPU will run at that frequency which means even better performance.

Re: Aspire 5315 CPU Step-by-Step Upgrade Guide
ATG, thank you for your quick response and reply. I will go with the T5550 since it's cheaper and faster in terms of 'numbers'. You've been a great help, thanks again!

The T8100 is going for 80 bucks on ebay. The T8300 is going for 80-95 used. Do you think its worth it to upgrade again from the T5450?

Re: Aspire 5315 CPU Step-by-Step Upgrade Guide
you dont need anything and the best cpu is a t9500.
Also the t8300 is def worth it, the t8100 not so much, i got one of those for like 50$
furthermore........
I successfully finished upgrading the motherboard in the 5315 last night/morning. now it has room for dedicated nvidia 9600m GT graphics

Re: Aspire 5315 CPU Step-by-Step Upgrade Guide
Hello everyone! I'm new here (so please be nice and hopefully no one will comment on me replying to a thread that hasn't been updated in a while). I have read a lot of this thread and am currently waiting for my T8300 CPU to come in. But I figured while I'm in the upgrading mood I'd add a built in webcam. My Aspire 5315 does not come with the built in webcam and I was wondering if I got a new cover (that has the hole for the webcam) and a replacement webcam if that would work or if there is something else that I need to do or if it won't work at all. Thanks
