Re: Cpu upgrades
I just tried to replace my ASUS's CPU(Celeron M 360 1.4ghz) with T2370. It didn't work(probably because of the bios limitation, the cpu physically fits), can't power on the laptop. But what freak me out is that the CPU has some kind of a sticker(probably the brand new CPUs have this to prevent scratches), covering the place where the thermal paste should be applied. Well the smart guys from the store didn't remove the sticker, but applied the paste all over it..and I'm wondering why the CPU overheats when watching youtube videos for example(95ºC !!!!).
I removed the sticker, cleaned the cpu and applied AS5 and now I'm watching youtube videos with completely save temp of 60-61ºC.
But..OMG is this stupid or what.
I thought I should share this for the users with unexplicable temp issues, and say OMG again.Last edited by ATG; 14th June 2008 at 09:51 AM.
