    Acer Extensa 5620-6830
    Latest BIOS 1.32
    GM965 Chipset
    Old: CPU T5250 C2D 1.5Ghz 65nm Merom
    New: CPU T8300 C2D 2.4Ghz 45nm Penryn
    (Plug-n-Play) Very simple upgrade.

    Other upgrades:
    Old: 200GB 4200 RPM HD
    New: 320 GB 5400 RPM HD

    Operating System:
    Old: Vista Home Premium
    Then: XP SP2
    Latest: Vista 64 Bit Ultimate SP1.

    Memory:
    Went from 1 GB to 2GB now have 4GB on the way Monday.

    Just got my T5450, where do I get the BIOS upgrade for my Intel GM965?

    Putting it into a Acer 6252.

    Check out BigO's guide its for 5315 but its almost the same.
    I upgraded my T2370 with T7500, it took me 10 minutes to remove the panel, the heatsink, clean it all, put the new cpu, put the thermal paste and collect all the pieces together

    so far most 90% of all upgrades have worked.
    but could those posters who have tried and had problems.
    please post here as well.

    can anybody tell me where I can buy better CPU than mine? I`ve T5450 at Acer Aspire 5920G.. and I can`t find any place to buy it..

    Try Ebay, even if you find a place to buy new CPU the price is HUGE. For example the price for new T7500 in Spain is around 240 Euros, I got my T7500 from Ebay for 89 Euros.
