Re: Razer Tiamat 7.1
Baka wants one but it's still not in stock for sale in Asia Pacific region. It's never in stock

That and Baka needs to get a soundcard for it if Baka gets one ._.

Re: Razer Tiamat 7.1
I'm just curious but would the tiamat ever work in conjunction with a megaladon since it would hold a 7.1 card/system?
it would be a pretty nice combination... can imagine the wires being super long though.Macbook Retina 13" | i7 2.9 GHz | 8Gb RAM | 256 Gb SSD |

Re: Razer Tiamat 7.1
Vicious thinks surround gimmick is gimmicky.
Nine and a Half out of Ten Vikings prefer 2 channel stereo headphones for maximum compatibility and trouble free operation.
Now its time for school.
Lesson #1 You Get What You Pay For
Behold the cheap $5.00 speaker
Spoiler :
The cheap $5.00 sounds cheap.
Behold the better $50.00 speaker
Spoiler :
The better $50.00 speaker sounds better.
Extra Credit: 1 better speaker sounds better than 2 cheap speakers, sound quality is based on speaker quality not quantity.
Now let's do math.
Two $5.00 speakers would cost $10.00
(5x2 = 10)
Two $50.00 speakers would cost $100.00
(50x2 = 100)
Now that math class is over lets do politics.
- Today's lesson is, nothing is free. Companies are in business to make money and thus sell you products not give them away.
Thus we may conclude that this speaker housing 1 woofer
would cost less than this identical speaker housing a 2nd woofer
This is a true statement. The first speaker cost apx $103.00 while the second cost $171.00
Now lets apply what we have learned today class.
If a pair of high quality headphones cost $200 with 2 speakers we can conclude to good degree those speakers are worth about $100 each and going back to the first lesson, expensive speakers sound better than cheap ones.
Now if we had a pair of headphones with 10 speakers that cost $200 we can conclude that the speakers are worth only approximately $20 each and would fall under the "cheap speaker" category.
As we learned prior more crappy speakers do not add up to be better or equal to lesser numbers of good speakers as audio quality is based on speaker quality not quantity. From our other lesson "nothing is free" we can conclude that a company would not sell a pair of headphones with 10 $100 speakers for $200 and give you the extra 8 speakers for free.
Thus in conclusion we can affirm that buying less speakers for the same money is a better idea than buying more speakers.
Now be sure to come back to class next week as we take on more advanced lessons, schedule ahead of time to attend;
Razer Tax 101: How boutique brands charge more money for products than other brands based on brand name alone rather than product worth. Bose & Dre Beats are special guests.
The Human Ear 101: How you only have 2 eardrums and can only receive 2 sound signals at the same time and how spacial awareness is based on delay and distance between yourself and the sound thus making surround sound headphones a gimmick and not work any different than a 2 speaker headphone producing the same sound signal.
-Viking guarantee once you attend all 3 lessons and are certified in knowing how to spot BS you will never look at another pair of surround headphones again.Last edited by ViciousXUSMC; 3rd May 2012 at 06:54 AM.

Re: Razer Tiamat 7.1
I think most people here are already aware that you get far superior audio quality from an equally priced stereo headset. They might still opt for a surround headset even though the sound won't be as directional as what you would get from a home cinema system.

Re: Razer Tiamat 7.1
Baka feels enlightened with all those classes now ._.
Though Baka still wants a Tiamat 7.1 for the hell of it ._.
Though Baka feels lazy looking and spending extra for a 7.1 card. Maybe Baka will settles for a Tiamat 2.2 ._.
If it'll ever get in stock...._.
