400 bucks guarantee that there isn't a dead pixel/DOA...whats the big deal?

They look like very nice monitors. For the price, you can't complain. Some of the video's I've seen have made my jaw drop. I think the Cross Over design is very nice, and quality of colours and image were very impressive. I'm so tempted, but can't see the point of getting such a high res screen with a laptop. Is my Clevo even capable of running the high res?
    Clevo P150HMA - i7 2630 - ATI 6990M - 16gig RAM - 95% gamut matte screen
    HP Envy 15 - 1104
    i7-820QM - ATI 5830 - 8 gig RAM - 640gig HDD
    Asus W3J - IBM X20 - Lenovo S10
    iPhone 4 32gig - iPhone 3G 16gig

Assuming we are referring to the 6990m, yea, that GPU supports that resolution (LINKY), but you will probably need a display port adapter unless the machine has a dual-link DVI output integral.

OP thanks for finding this. I'm intrigued...for my desktop. Even have a couple DVI-D cables hanging around...

On second thought, I take back the thanks cause now I want one

If anyone gets one and could report back that'd be great.
Yeah and if there's a dead pixel, you get $10. Big deal.

1 dead pixel doesn't even matter one a screen of that res....if your going to get dead pixels its going to be several and they will catch it before shipping. They wont loose 50 or 100 bucks

I'd be very interested in two of these, maybe even three.

Pretty sure my 2011 MBP 15" can drive one of these at full res. Any way (aside from Thunderbolt daisy chaining) to drive two of these off of one display port (Thunderbolt)?

Microcenter now carrying the 27" 2560x1440 Korean IPS monitors

Micro Center - EQD 27" WQHD LED Backlit LCD Monitor 207597

Microcenter (B&M store) has one version for $400 + tax.... looks like there is HDMI+VGA+DVI, but some reports say may not have HDCP.... post above shows one guy who bought it

might be worth it for the warranty (1 year) and B&M location (for you to look at the monitor in store before buying + test dead pixels)
    Laptop:
    Dell XPS M1330 Tuxedo Black
    Desktop:
    AMD Phenom II X2 550BE, MSI 785G-E65 mATX, OCZ 2x2GB + G.Skill 2x4GB = 12GB DDR3, Corsair 400W PSU
    Phone:
AT&T Fuze(HTC Touch Pro/Raphael), EnergyROM WinMo 6.5, no data plan

Don't think so because you need to use a Displayport to dual-link DVI adapter to connect this to a Mac. Not only does it occupy the Displayport/Thunderbolt port, you also need to connect the adapter to your Mac via USB.
