Default Need some help with New Logitech G930's

First I have to say , this headset is the in tt... no complaints.

I just need some help, say I want to show a family member a video or watch a video with them on the lappy. Instead of pulling out the USB dongle so they can hear through the laptop speakers, how can I do this? I tried powering off the headphones that doesnt work, is there a better way instead of having to unplug the dongle every single time?

Right click your volume icon in the taskbar, click "Playback Devices", right click the speakers, and select "set as default device".

Alternatively instead of setting all programs in windows to a new device if the player you are using has the ability you can set it individually to use a different sound device.

I like to do this so I can use both at the same time. I can be listening to music in foobar and playing games or reading the web while the kids watch a movie because I set foobar to use my headphones and windows to use the default sound device.

    There's also something like this.

A hotkey to switch between headphones and speakers. Soundswitch. | Contriving

I make no specific recommendations as I do generally what ViciousXUSMC says, for software that does support specific routing.
    | Tablets: Quite a lot | Notebooks: A lot | Desktops: A lot more | Servers: I think you see the pattern | Laptop Bags: Even more |
