im using this mouse. it came with my 1720, its by far the most useful thing that came with the laptop (other than the power charger).

its pretty small, i was used to a big gaming mouse, its not very hard to get use to. within a week it will feel normal. the size does is however nice on the when carrying it and putting in in the laptop's bag, i think any bigger and it would stick out too much. the mouse is quite solid and well built.

and is very easy to set up(no drivers), you only have to set it up once and then it will automatically connect every time you turn on the laptop or the mouse, 10% it will refuse to connect so you either have to switch the laptop bluetooth off and on, or manually reconnect using the bluetooth devices.
but most bluetooth devices i noticed arent that stable when connecting.

there are also times these past few weeks that ive noticed that the mouse does get a bit "jumpy", and slow, but it only happens on my desk i think there is something interfering with the mouse, i have yet to figure out. and this is noticed under fast/heavy gaming motions..

I use it with my Dell Inspiron 1520, I also added it when I ordered my laptop. This mouse is great, I simply love it no worrying about lost adapters or wires to untangle. It was even featured in Ironman, the only down side to this is the batteries and some connection problems once in a while, its nothing hard to fix it. All you do is uninstall it and reinstall it back. Quick and painless. It also has a great battery life, I recommened getting a rechargeable batteries with it and one more thing don't, don't loose the cap! I lost my cap to my mouse and normal batteries won't stay in the **** thing but rechargeables do.. :P

If it came with your notebook then might as well use it. However it is not worth buying. You can find a Logitech V470 at comparable prices online very often and the V470 is a much better mouse. The tracking on this is OK at best.

I have used the one that came with my wifes 1530 and I really like it. It is unusual for a mouse of that size to have that many extra buttons which I really like. It tracks fine and the battery life seems pretty good. I think its worth $20.

Does this mouse use batteries a lot and how do you recharge the recharable batteries in it? can you recharge them by plugging the mouse in or anything like any other bluetooth mice

It takes a single AAA. You can use rechargables but it goes through them sparingly just make sure you turn it off when your not using it.

Can anyone tell me the actual length of the Dell Bluetooth Travel Mouse? I like a compact mouse but it is very hard comparing online as sites often don't provide such basic information.

For what it is worth I have compiled this size list (dimensions in inches/mm)
Targus Bluetooth Laser Mouse AMB03US 4.1"/104mm
TeckNet PA-BTM02 Bluetooth Wireless Optical Mouse 3.5"/89mm
Iogear GME229B Tilt wheel Laser Mouse 4.0"/102mm
Targus Rechargeable Bluetooth Mouse 3.5"/88mm

I have it in Cherry Red...would you like some pics??

If so, I can snap some quick ones
