Well guys, I'd like to report a success!

It turns out my BSOD problems WERE PSU related, so I bought a dual 12v rail PSU and I'm yet to have any problems!

The specs of my laptop are:

Dell Inspiron 1545
Intel Pentium Dual Core T4400 @ 2.2GHz
2x2GB DDR2 600MHz RAM
Intel 4500MHD
500GB Toshiba SATA hard drive
Windows 7 Home Premium x64
PE4L 1.4
APower 680w PSU (Dual 12v rails, one 22A, the other 20A)
1GB MSI NVidia GT430 Storm II Overclock Edition

I don't have 3DMark06 at the moment so I'll post scores later.
Optimus is working well and I'm pulling a solid 80 - 90 FPS in Half-Life 2!
