I tried this and got Stereo Mix to appear on the first attempt, however, it is not that good. When recording to Audition 1.5 (formerly Cool Edit 2000), I still have to have sound playing out from my speakers. Lowering the volume lowers recording volume and if I increase the volume and mute, then the recording is also zeroed. How can I record aty decent volumes without having to actually hear the audio and without having to go from digital to analog to digital via a line out to line in cheat? Can't it be done completely digitally?
